TNEB Foreman outrightly refuses to acknowledge receipt of complaint letter 9

Status: VICTORY (The Foreman got transferred)

This incident occurred in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board office, Jafferkhanpet, Chennai.

We were facing some problem with the Electricity supply in our house and had gone there to give a written complaint.
But the Foreman, who was the senior-most officer present on site at that time, in the absence of the Assistant Engineer, refused to accept my written complaint. This was a redundant problem and we did our duty by trying to submit a written complaint. But the arrogant Foreman refused to give a written acknowledgement for the complaint; quoting silly reasons;

  • that we had to submit the complaint to the Assistant Engineer, but who never seemed to be present in the office during our repeated visits;
  • that the written complaint we had given to the information center the previous week, was not valid;
  • that there were cases pending since a year;
  • that they did not have time, etc.

The Foreman was essentially contradicting his own statements and unnecessarily talking with an arrogant attitude and adamantly refused to accept our written complaint.

We ended up recording the above-mentioned incident with mobile phone so that we could at least use it as video evidence.
Check out the video below:

A complaint has been sent to Chairman cum Managing Director, TANGEDCO to take disciplinary action against Foreman for not receiving the complaint, the above video is enclosed with that complaint in a CD as evidence.
and later an RTI has been filed enquiring the status of the above complaint. The RTI kept forwarded between different authorities and after 30 days we filed First Appeal, for which the response was given on July 12, 2013

Message to the Foreman or any other Authority: “We are in no way paying you Bribe to get our services rendered.”

The good news was received on July 10th, 2013, in which Exec. Engineer, TANGEDCO accepted the fault on their side and transferred the Foreman (who was caught on video) with compulsory work leave.

    TNEB has a very straight forward Vigilance officier in Ms Seema Agrawal who can help sort out such issues amicably.

    This video shows that public service providers are neglecting their responsibilities to the innocent public, without knowing their duty responsibility.

    This kind of presentation will make another revolution within the public to fight against irresponsible government staff & politicians.

    Dream comes true ! Super power india !

    This bastard foreman should be dismissed from service. He is a bloody public servant and acting as a master. The public are real masters. Kick this slime out. We must never ever tolerate this. Give a 32 kV current between his balls for 10 full minutes and drop him into the gutter.

    This is what happening in India. The senior officials are also encouraging this by providing holidays along with salary to the foreman. Very good punishment and every govt official shall have more guts to do this again if they want vacation
