In Balamurugan Nagar 1st Cross Street at Velachery the street road has since been relaid wherin the following deficiencies are noticed.
1.The road has two bays at its dead end for the turning vehicles but the bay on one (western) side has been encroached by the nearby house owner by his private garden defeating the purpose for which the bays have been paovided.
2.The bays which are part and parcel of the street road had been paved in earlier road laying occasions but this time they are not paved (despite personal insistense to the concerned Engineer at the time of laying the road) paving way for encroachment of bays.
3.At the entry of the road there is STORM WATER DRAIN (SWD) at a level higher than the street road level without any provision for draining the storm water collected over the street road into the SWD resulting which during the mansoon the street road may turn into a canal as well flooding the houses which are at/lower than the road level.
The above defauts have been complaned to the Corporation on online and it has been simply replied as ‘To be attended’ and completed(closed) it. Anyway it will be reopened and pursued.

i am a senior citizen and a resident of Y Block at Annanagar, Chennai 600040. Visweswaraiah Park is very close to my residence, where i used to frequent for my morning walk, with friends. The maintenance of the park is not up to the mark. There are several workers who suddenly appear in the morning around 6.15 am and start the cleaning work. The cleaning is not scientifically done by use of gadgets etc and mostly done by manual labour. Be that as it may, the big tank inside the park is full of filth, used water bottles, and lots and lots of dying plants. I just want to know what are the arrangements made for regular maintenance of the park, the number of workers, arrangements for cleaning the stinking tank, removal of waste materials etc. It is used by more than 1000 people in the morning and 2000 people in the evening.
‘under process’ is the status for the past more than one month at CM Cell. ‘To be attended soon’ is the repeated status report from the C0rporation for my persuation for more than three months. Any I will be pushing until I get a solution.

The status quo still continues without any action. Planning to represent to honourable CM Special cell.
Complaint on ‘no action by the corporation on my complaints’ has been sent to CM Special Cell on 25-11-2013.
